Why this work is personal
I didn’t arrive here by accident. For nearly two decades, I’ve been building brands – shaping visuals, refining messaging, creating identities for ambitious entrepreneurs at every stage.
Over time, I noticed a pattern: brilliant business owners had it all on paper – offers, visuals, strategy – yet weren’t fully showing up in their brands. Not for lack of clarity. Not because they needed another rebrand. But because parts of them didn’t feel safe being seen yet.
I saw it in my clients. And eventually, I had to face it in myself. I had the experience, the skill, the eye – but still held back, leading from polish instead of presence, strategy instead of truth.
The last few years took me beneath the brand: into visibility wounds, old stories, and the subtle ways we learn to stay quiet, agreeable, or “palatable” to be accepted. That’s when everything shifted.
Built to Disrupt exists because I know – from both sides of the work – that no amount of branding can carry you into your next level if your brand is being built as protection instead of expression.
